Credit Suisse is a world-leading financial services company. The company was one of the first financial institutions in Switzerland to recognize the potential of microfinance, and currently offers three microfinance funds as well as a private equity fund that give investors a direct stake in microfinance companies and institutions. Credit Suisse is active in over 50 countries, and employs more than 48,000 people from approximately 100 different nations.

Since October 2008, Credit Suisse has been the premier partner of FINCA global Training and Leadership Development Initiative. The initiative is designed to promote leadership and staff development, and to improve the performance of FINCA's roughly 7,000 employees world-wide, particularly credit staff. In addition to financial support, FINCA and Credit Suisse are developing an employee engagement program that will allow Credit Suisse staff to lend their professional expertise to FINCA’s global operations.
