Jacquie Green, FINCA Canada, Secretary
Jacquie Green is a Toronto based teacher and visual artist. She holds a masters in Education and is an Associate of the Ontario College of Art and Design. She is a member of WAM Canada and has served as Board Chair of Bellwoods Centers For Community Living and Director of the Sans Souci and Copperhead Association.
Michael Green, ObjectSharp Consulting, President
Michael Green is an experienced high-tech executive and investor, currently running a private equity fund that focuses on emerging opportunities in the software and renewable energy sectors. Mr. Green’s trips to FINCA’s programs in Ecuador, Guatemala and Uganda helped to fuel his interest in microfinance and Village Banking. Mr. Green directed and produced a short video that FINCA currently uses in its marketing and fundraising activities.
Linda Wolfond, FINCA Canada, Director
Linda Wolfond has been an active member of the FINCA Canada board of directors since its inception. She holds an MBA from McGill University as well as a degree from the University of Western Ontario. Linda served as a senior executive at Alliance Equicap, an investment company specializing in tax assisted investments as well as president of Cinegate Production Management Services for many years. She now devotes her time to her family and to philanthropic endeavors. Linda is also a member of the Gesher Abraham board of directors, which governs The Toronto Heschel School.
Rupert Scofield, FINCA International, President & CEO; President, FINCA Canada
Rupert Scofield is an agricultural economist with 30 years of experience in the developing countries of Africa, Latin America, Eurasia, and the Greater Middle East. Mr. Scofield co-founded FINCA in 1984 with John Hatch and has served as its President and CEO since 1994. Under his leadership, FINCA has grown from 60,000 clients and a loan portfolio of $5 million to a true global presence with over 700,000 clients across five continents and a loan portfolio of more than $300 million. Mr. Scofield has expanded FINCA's commitment to serve populations in the most need by advancing FINCA's presence in Africa and leading FINCA's entry into Eurasia and the Middle East. Mr. Scofield is a practitioner at heart and remains actively involved in the management of FINCA’s network of 21 wholly-owned subsidiaries, consistently guiding each program toward self-sufficiency. As an Adjunct Professor at Georgetown University's School of Foreign Service and a frequent keynote speaker, Mr. Scofield seeks to inspire the next generation of microfinance leaders. Prior to FINCA, Mr. Scofield served as the CEO of Rural Development Services, a consulting firm, and as country program director of the AFL-CIO’s Labor Program in El Salvador. He earned two Master of Arts degrees in agricultural economics and public administration from the University of Wisconsin as well as a Bachelor of Arts degree from Brown University, and served in the Peace Corps in Guatemala. Mr. Scofield is fluent in English and Spanish.
Soledad Gompf, FINCA International, Vice President for New Business Development
Soledad Gompf spearheads the establishment of new country programs for FINCA as well as the development of new product offerings for FINCA clients, including lending, savings, microinsurance, and other financial services. Ms. Gompf has over 21 years of professional experience in administration, strategic planning, fundraising, grants management, budgeting and program design. Ms. Gompf has worked with a number of non-profit and for-profit organizations in Latin America and the U.S. A native of Peru, Ms. Gompf holds a law degree from Universidad Nacional Mayor de San Marcos. She has had extensive professional training in the U.S. in the areas of fundraising and management. Ms. Gompf is bilingual, English/Spanish.
Gwen Andreotti, FINCA International, Vice President for Human & Business Resources
Gwen Andreotti is responsible for management, strategy, and technical assistance for all aspects of FINCA's worldwide network of affiliate programs in the areas of Human Resources, and she is Administrative Director for corporate headquarters. Ms. Andreotti serves on the corporate executive management team and sits on the boards/executive committees of FINCA Georgia, Haiti, Afghanistan, DR Congo and Honduras. She joined FINCA from Air Canada, where she served initially in the Finance department and then moved into a regional role as Administration and Human Resources Manager for the logistics operation. With a management degree from McGill University in Montreal, she holds a dual Bachelors of Science degree in International Business and Human Resources Management. In 2005 Ms. Andreotti completed a dual Masters of Science Degree in Administration and a Masters of Business Administration from the University of Maryland. Most recently, she completed a certificate in Commercial Banking from the Stonier Graduate Program of the American Bankers Association in collaboration with Georgetown University and University of Pennsylvania-Wharton. Ms. Andreotti is fluent in English and French, and conversant in Spanish.
